Meet the founder
Ari, the founder of maisurinfbali grew up in Medewi, a beautiful village on the west coast of Bali, famous for having the longest left-hander wave on the island. His surf story began here at the age of 10, when he and his friends would spend nearly every day surfing, knowing their parents could always find them at the beach. Since then, surfing has been a significant part of his life.

After many years of working as a surf coach at various surf camps around Bali, Ari decided to open his own surf school to share his passion for surfing with others. For him, surfing represents freedom, happiness, and is truly for everyone.

With his extensive experience and deep local knowledge, Ari and his team are dedicated to helping you catch your first wave, improve your surfing skills, and achieve your goals.

At Mai Surfing Bali, we work with a team of local freelance surf coaches, all of whom are certified ASI Level 1 / 2. Each coach brings a wealth of local knowledge, ensuring the highest quality instruction and an authentic Bali surf experience.
Two of our main coaches, Febri and Nami, are both passionate surfers who share the same dedication to teaching and love for the ocean.
Our priority is to provide not only expert guidance but also a warm and friendly environment where you can learn and grow as a surfer.
